Foot size is determined by the depth of your work surface. Generally speaking, you want to use the largest size foot that does not exceed the depth of your surface.
23.5" feet are intended for surfaces 24"-27" deep.
27.5" feet are intended for surfaces 28"-31" deep.
31.5" feet are intended for surfaces 32"-39" deep.
39.5" feet are intended for surfaces 40" deep or greater.
