DeskHaus Limited Warranty (U.S. & Canada)

We stand behind the products we sell. If something isn’t right, email us at hello@desk.haus and we’ll work with you to resolve it.

Because our products are heavy and ship through carriers that sometimes damage packages, photos/video and troubleshooting details are required for warranty service. This helps us confirm the issue, send the correct parts the first time, and avoid unnecessary shipments.

 


 

1) Inspect your delivery 

 

Shipping damage, missing parts, and wrong items must be reported within 72 hours (3 days) of delivery.

To report a shipping issue, email hello@desk.haus with:

  • your order number

  • photos of the product and any damage

  • photos of the packaging (all sides if possible)

  • a photo of the shipping label

Keep all packaging materials until your desk is assembled and functioning properly.

Note: This 72-hour window applies to shipping-related issues only. It does not shorten the warranty term for manufacturing defects.

 


 

2) Warranty periods

  • Custom solid wood surfaces

Warranty coverage is valid for the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.

 


 

3) What this warranty covers

 

This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the applicable warranty period under normal indoor use, when the product has been:

 

  • assembled and used according to provided instructions, and

  • not modified, misused, or subjected to abnormal conditions.

 

If a defect is confirmed, DeskHaus will, at our option:

 

  1. repair the product/component, or

  2. replace the product/component with the same or an equal/better item, or

  3. issue a credit/refund for the defective product/component (less applicable discounts, rebates, or credits).

 

Replacement parts/products may be new or reconditioned.

 


 

4) What this warranty does not cover 

 

This warranty does not apply to:

 

  • normal wear and tear, cosmetic wear, or damage from use over time (scratches, dents, finish wear, etc.)

  • damage caused by improper assembly/disassembly, installation, storage, handling, or cleaning products

  • customer modifications, unauthorized repairs, or use of non-approved parts/accessories

  • misuse, abuse, unreasonable use, accidents, or neglect

  • force majeure / “acts of God” (fire, floods, hurricanes, etc.)

  • damage caused by abnormal electrical conditions, power fluctuations, or improper power setup

  • products delivered outside of the United States and Canada

  • products determined to be stolen

 

 


 

5) Commercial / multi-shift use

 

This warranty is based on single-shift use (8 hours/day, 5 days/week).

For above single-shift use (e.g., multi-shift environments), warranty coverage periods may be reduced proportionally.


Example: double-shift use may reduce a 20-year warranty to 10 years.

 


 

 

6) Solid wood surface warranty notes (1 year)

 

Solid wood is a natural material. Variations in grain, knots, texture, and color are normal and expected.

The solid wood surface warranty does not cover:

 

  • wood grain preference or natural wood variation

  • color change over time or due to UV/light exposure

  • minor checking/cracks consistent with normal wood movement

  • movement/warping caused by temperature/humidity changes

  • scratches, dents, or damage from use

 

The solid wood surface warranty may cover defects in materials/workmanship such as:

 

  • cracks on the usable surface that materially affect surface integrity

  • clear separation at seams that is not consistent with normal seasonal movement

  • workmanship defects confirmed by DeskHaus

 

Important: Shipping damage or obvious defects visible on delivery must be reported within 72 hours (3 days) as described above.

 


 

 

7) Powdercoat / finish warranty notes (1 year)

 

Powdercoat and finishes are covered for defects in materials/workmanship. Normal cosmetic wear, chips from impact, scratches from use, and damage from improper cleaning are not covered.

 


 

8) How to request warranty service 

 

Email hello@desk.haus with:

 

  • order number / proof of purchase

  • a clear description of the issue

  • photos and/or video showing the issue

  • photos of relevant labels/serial numbers (if applicable)

  • confirmation the product was assembled/used according to instructions

 

We may request additional photos/video, measurements, or troubleshooting steps. We cannot ship warranty parts without sufficient documentation to confirm the issue.

 


 

 

9) Shipping for warranty service

 

Parts-only coverage: This warranty covers parts only and does not include labor costs.

 

Replacement parts shipping 

 

If your claim is approved and the issue is confirmed via photos/video/troubleshooting:

 

  • DeskHaus will provide replacement parts at no charge and ship them via standard service within the U.S. and Canada.

  • Expedited shipping (if requested) may be at the customer’s expense.

When we require the defective part back

 

In some cases, we may require the allegedly defective component to be returned for inspection. If so:

  • we will issue an RMA and provide return instructions, and

  • the item must be properly packaged, with the RMA clearly displayed.

If inspection determines the issue is not covered (for example, damage due to misuse, modifications, or improper assembly), the customer may be responsible for shipping costs.

 


 

10) Ownership of replaced parts

 

If we replace a component, DeskHaus owns the replaced component and any parts removed during a repair.

 


 

11) Limitations of liability 

 

Warranty covers parts only. The cost of repairing or replacing other property damaged due to product malfunction (consequential damages) and the cost of lost time or loss of use (incidental damages) are not recoverable under this warranty.

To the extent permitted by law, this Limited Warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so parts of this warranty may not apply to you.

No reseller, dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to modify or expand this Limited Warranty. If any translation differs from the English version, the English version controls.

Returns & Exchanges (30 days)

 

If you’re not satisfied with an eligible product within 30 days of delivery, contact hello@desk.haus to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

 

Return conditions

 

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

 

  • The return must be approved and include a valid RMA

  • Items must be in like‑new condition

  • Items must be returned in the original packaging

  • Returns must include your order number

  • RMAs must be completed within 14 days of issuance

 

Returns sent without an RMA may be refused or returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.

 


 

Return shipping costs

 

Return shipping depends on what you bought and where you are:

 

Contiguous 48 states (non‑freight items)

 

If your item ships by standard carrier (not freight), return shipping may be covered for eligible items except where noted below.

 

Freight shipments or outside the contiguous 48 states

 

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs:

 

  • If the order ships via freight, or

  • If the destination is outside the contiguous 48 states

 

International customers are also responsible for any duties, customs fees, and taxes related to returns.

Solid wood note

 

Our solid wood products are handcrafted in the USA from natural hardwood. Variation in grain, color, texture, and pattern is normal and expected. Wood grain preference is not a valid reason for return or exchange.

 


 

Cancellations

 

If your order is eligible to be canceled, you will be refunded minus a 4% processing fee. Payment processors do not refund these fees to the seller.

 

Solid wood order cancellations

 

Orders containing solid wood have a 20% cancellation fee due to materials and labor already committed.

 


 

Price adjustments

 

We do not offer retroactive price adjustments. Our product and freight costs can change frequently, and pricing reflects costs at the time of purchase.
